2027 Challenge

In March 2027, a one-of-a-kind endurance challenge will begin: a 4,242 km (2,636 mile) west-to-east crossing of the United States by wheelchair marking the first time in history this feat has ever been accomplished. Starting in Los Angeles and concluding in Daytona Beach, Florida, this challenge isn't just about pushing physical limits, it's about sparking change, inspiring communities, and supporting those who’ve served.

Purpose & Mission
The challenge is driven by three core pillars:

Supporting Veterans' CharitiesRaising vital funds and awareness for military and veterans’ organisations that provide life-changing services. The goal is to give back to those who’ve given so much.

Empowering People to Dream Big by proving that extraordinary things can be achieved with ordinary tools, this journey inspires everyday people to begin their own challenges no matter their starting point or available resources.

Celebrating Women’s Rugby as a Source of Inspiration. This challenge is deeply inspired by the tenacity, resilience, and teamwork found in women’s rugby. By sharing that inspiration, the event shines a spotlight on the sport and the powerful role models it fosters.

Another exciting journey ahead

The Reason

My hope is to inspire others by showing that, even in the face of adversity, it is still possible to achieve your goals and dreams. It’s about adapting those dreams and shifting your perception of what is possible.

In today’s economic climate, access to sports equipment and kit is a real challenge for many. I want to highlight that you don’t need expensive kit to engage in sport. Do what you can with what you have. If you have trainers, you can go for a run. If you have a wheelchair, you can go for a wheel. Participation is not about having the best equipment, it’s about taking that first step, however small it may be.

Start small. Dream big.
