Launch Day of End2End- RWC ❤️

Well, yesterday was nothing short of epic. Not only did Exeter light up for the Rugby World Cup, but we also proudly launched my event! Yep we debuted something close to my heart, and it was nothing short of incredible. So big news... I will be carrying the 'race to women's rugby world cup whistle.' (RTWRWC!) Carrying the starting whistle to the first game of the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 in Sunderland. For this I am going to be wheeling a huge 10 ultra marathons in 10 days! Thats 500km! That's almost the whole England, again! (But the other way round this time!).

So, let’s start with the bling. The trophy? Stunning. And its ride? Oh, just casually chilling in the back of one of the most beautiful Land Rovers I’ve ever laid eyes on. As a long-time Land Rover fan, that felt like a full-circle moment.

I had the absolute honour of meeting Sarah Massey, Head of World Rugby, a truly inspiring and wonderfully warm person. And so many others whose names, thanks to my charming sidekick called brain fog, have momentarily exited the building. Honestly, brain fog is like an uninvited guest at a memory party. But thankfully, my superhero sidekick Theresa was there, keeping things together like the legend she is.

And yes—drumroll—the website launched, the fundraising page went live, and the impact partnership took its first breath. Everything dropped at once like a confetti cannon of progress. Boom. With a massive thank you to Adopstar for their amazing work on my website. I absolutely love it! Check it out here www.lexichambers.com

Rocking my Childfund-rugby tee, I rolled in early (which I tend to do!). I bumped into the amazing Exeter Chiefs women, Lucy, Emily, Flo, and Katie, and what followed was a heartwarming coffee moment, which was so lovely. We laughed, chatted, and yes, I now owe someone a coffee. Noted!

The day was packed with media interviews, radio chats, and the talented Reuben filming for our upcoming documentary. Even better? He did it all gratis. Genuine acts of kindness like that stay with you.

There’s an undeniable energy building around this World Cup, especially seeing the spotlight shine on women’s rugby. It’s long overdue, and it's already changing the game, in every sense.

Now, the countdown to August 9th is officially on. Plans are unfolding, Childfund is rallying sponsors, and I’m (I'm)patiently waiting for a support car. Jaguar Land Rover, if you’re listening: I’m just asking for two weeks with a car. Just two! (But hey, if not, we’re resourceful, we’ll find another Land Rover elsewhere. Watch this space.)

Training continues, kit anticipation builds, and my excitement? Off the charts.

Here’s to bold beginnings, unforgettable launches, and a future full of tries, on the pitch and off.
